Morality and Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (MKAI) and the Southern Africa Institute of Aviation, Science and Technology (SAIAST) have partnered to educate young Southern African women in STEM.
Milton Keynes, UNITED KINGDOM, May 2022 – Morality and Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (MKAI) and the Southern Africa Institute of Aviation, Science and Technology (SAIAST) have partnered to educate young Southern African women in STEM.
Experts lauded the partnership as another bold move, as it focuses on educating and promoting women in this new economy. It is a significant step toward fostering inclusion and diversity in the global Artificial Intelligence space, which are core values and advocacies of MKAI.
This partnership is also particularly special for MKAI as it bridges the gender gap in the AI industry, especially in the Southern African region.
The program also involves Rupa Singh, Founder of AI-Beehive, an e-learning company that offers Machine Learning, Data Science, AI ethics and other STEM-related courses. “Each time I collaborate with MKAI, it is an opportunity to increase my work’s social impact, and I am very grateful for this. I am honoured to help Zambia’s students develop machine learning coding skills.”

MKAI is represented by Dr Odilia Coi, Director for Innovation, who is pleased with this new development. “MKAI is delighted to collaborate with the Southern Africa Institute of Aviation Technology and Science to foster digital skills development, women’s education and gender inclusion.
