Milton Keynes, England, JULY 29, 2021
MKAI is proud to announce our participation in a city-wide partnership to develop digital skills and artificial intelligence innovation with Milton Keynes College, the South Central Institute for Technology (SCIoT), MK Chamber, the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) and MK Council in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area.
Milton Keynes College has won a £3.5 million bid for government funding to set up a new skills centre to improve links with business.
The money will pay for the centre to be built at the Chaffron Way campus where companies and educators will collaborate in digital skills and artificial intelligence. If the trial is a success it could be rolled out across the country.
The centre will be operated in partnership with the South Central Institute for Technology (SCIoT), MK Chamber, the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) and MK Council, along with the city-wide artificial intelligence group, MKAI.
The innovative partnership between MK College, South-Central IoT and MKAI joins up employers, the skills they need and the future workforce. It creates a unique opportunity to ensure Milton Keynes becomes the centre for the leading-edge AI skills, unlocking the talent within our diverse community and creating fairer futures for all.
Milton Keynes College and the South Central Institute of Technology are at the heart of early digital skills development in Milton Keynes (MK), helping to position MK as an ideal destination for developing and deploying new technologies. With our commitment to being the greenest city in the world and ambition to be a leader in the use of artificial intelligence, MKAI is proud to be a contributing partner to this city-wide technology alliance.
