This workshop is suitable for learners with a cursory introduction to programming and familiarity with the fundamentals of Python.

We will spend time refreshing on Python skills and then discuss Bioinformatics in preparation for the February workshop.

What is Bioinformatics?
Bioinformatics is a science field that is similar to but distinct from biological computation, while it is often considered synonymous to computational biology. Biological computation uses bioengineering and biology to build biological computers, whereas bioinformatics uses computation to better understand biology.

Who is this workshop for?
This coding workshop is aimed at beginner Python coders, but prior coding experience is necessary and recommended.

What will you learn?
– A refresher on Python
– An overview of Bioinformatics
– You’ll have ample opportunities to ask questions

Who will lead the workshop?
The workshop is hosted by MKAI and led by Jui Khankari from ainspire.org
