MKAI May Inclusive Forum | Responsible AI Event Series- Part 2: Rethinking Data Monetization

May 27, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm BST

This quarter the MKAI Inclusive AI Forum Series discusses the big themes around Responsible AI. The May event is about Rethinking Data Monetization

Series Rationale: A significant percentage of AI projects are still failing to return value or to scale and whilst new technologies offer more and more convenience to consumers, the spotlight is on the way that data is being collected and processed. Tolerance is decreasing for technology companies that aren’t actively showing how they will improve privacy and security and reduce biases.

Event Rationale: At the May Forum, we seek to explore how fresh thinking and new approaches to data monetisation. What will it take to radically change the way that businesses collect, store, share, sell and process data? We wish to discuss whether the technology market is taking into account the harm associated with current data monetisation methods, whether we would consider these methods ethical and whether an update to digital human rights is needed. Finally, we seek to know how and when these methods will change.

Inclusive AI: As always the MKAI Forums are open to everyone from all walks of life. Our expert speakers make the subject approachable and comprehensible to help all of us improve our AI-fluency and understanding of the domain.
