The World Economic Forum has reported the gender gap in AI professionals to be more than three times and has expressed concern that “unless women are encouraged to enter the field of science, technology and engineering, the gender skill gap could widen”.
MKAI Digital Inclusion programmes:
MKAI hosts quarterly events to promote gender diversity within AI and help identify and remove barriers that prevent women from advancing to leadership roles. MKAI has joined forces with UN Women to implement the "Women's Empowerment Principles".
MKAI provides consultancy for organisations to help them understand and implement the value of diversity in their teams and build a culture of inclusion even in different working formats, like remote or hybrid.
Education is a barrier to inclusion, as many people don’t have access to traditional courses at universities or schools. MKAI is looking for partnering with academic institutions, NGOs and government initiatives to provide consultancy and enable online courses to empower and provide knowledge to people and qualify them to work in the AI field.
